After the dog park, we headed down towards the bay to walk along the Embarcadero just as the sun was setting across the city. There were quite a few people taking late afternoon strolls with their pups at this time and I can see why…the views are especially amazing with the lights from the Ferry Building and Bay Bridge light installation starting to illuminate against the dusk sky.
The Bay Lights is currently the world’s largest LED light sculpture and was inspired by the Bay Bridge’s 75th anniversary. It is on display for 2 years, through March 2015. It’s totally worth seeing if you’re in San Francisco within the next year or so. There’s just something ridiculously grand and romantic about it, if the multitude of lovey dovey couples sitting along the Embarcadero wasn’t indication enough.
