Thereβs something quite peaceful about walking around a twilight-drenched city at 6am on a Sunday, passing Chinese grandmas on their morning stroll and seeing empty cable cars roll down Powell Street. Itβs a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle that comes later in the day. Hoku loved finally having a full six feet of leash to roam as opposed to being made to walk tightly at my side through crowds.
It was a beautiful and bittersweet walk in our favorite city before the long drive back down to San Diego.
