The Hillcrest Farmers Market is always a fun Sunday morning outing, especially when family is in town for the holidays. Since it’s only a 15 minute walk from our house, we like taking Hoku with us and perusing the vendors around the perimeter of the market. (Unfortunately, dogs aren’t allowed in the main area.) After a look at the fresh produce and flowers, we made our usual stop at La Creperie for our favorite California Surfer (bacon, avocado, and cheese) crepe and La Princesa for a refreshing cup of watermelon juice. Not to be left out, Hoku also got a yummy sweet potato + peanut butter star-shaped biscuit from a new vendor selling homemade dog treats. With a delicious snack and all the compliments and pettings he got from fellow market-goers, he had a fantastic morning.
