The Cabrillo Tidepools is Officially Our Favorite Hike

We went to the Cabrillo tidepools today because the weather was just too perfect to be spent indoors. And apparently everyone had the same idea, because it was packed! It was the first time we’ve ever experienced the rock pools at low tide and it was a fantastic wonderland of sea life. Hoku was happy to be able to walk over the rocks and discover new, fishy smells usually hidden below the surface of the water. Caught up in the excitement of being at one of his favorite places in the world, he unknowingly ran into the waves until the ocean water was half way up his legs. And in true Shiba fashion, suddenly remembered that water was the root of all evil and jumped out as quickly as he could.

Here are some snapshots of the day through the lens of my iPhone!
