Evenings in our cozy little cabin consisted of starting a fire with our foraged logs right after sunset, gathering around it and watching it burn and crackle away for hours. All the while, we’d play Telestrations, watch movies, make s’mores, sip on dark chocolate hot cocoa, and roast chestnuts and sweet potatoes. Hoku would pretty much sleep through it all, completely beat from his long, exciting day of hiking through the forest.Â
